KODOKU - 孤独

Games I enjoyed and want people to know about.

I had a 3x3 image here with games but decided I no longer like that, it didn't fit well inside this box and doesn't really give much info on why the game deserves to be in a 3x3. So instead I am just going to list games that had an impact on me whether it was because they changed my view on something or simnply because they were really, really fun.

Heroes of Might and Magic 3 - This game was a childhood favorite and I still like it today even though I suck at it. I used to play it with friends and alone. Just a super good game that was raelly fun.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 - Another fun game I played for hours and hours as a child. I still enjoy it as an adult too once in a while. Really wish the modern ones were more than name-only successors.
Star Wars Republic Commando - I was a bit of a star wars nerd as a kid so here's a second one. I'm not someone who typically likes shooters a lot, but this one is just an awesome story with fun gameplay and a unique way of getting things done. Still waiting for anothe game to recreate this experience.
Warcraft 3 - I played the game as a kid, but in my teens this game really took off for me when we got good internet and I could play custom maps online. I spent a lot of my free time in this game with online friends I met via the game.
League of Legends - Absolutely fell in love back when it came out and became mega addicted to it. An intense source of anger and frustration at one point in my life. Barely play now but when I do I play for fun. Ate up years of my life.
Besiege - Made me fall in love with open ended physics puzzle games, a pretty small genre. I love being creative and solving things without a hint of proper engineering principles.
Deathloop - The peak of Arkane's Dishonored style games. Maybe not the best story-wise or anything, but the gameplay is their cleanest and most fun. I overlooked it for too long for udmb reasons, but it was fantastic. Very replayable.
VRChat - Another game I was addicted too for a while. It was a great place to have fun doing things. I don't spend much time in a VR headset now though. Lot of things have changed for me, this game, and in the VR landscape since 2017.
Morrowind - My latest addition. I played this in 2025. Masterpiece. One of the greatest RPGs of all time. I can't believe I never gave it a fair chance before, but maybe it just wasn't the right time for me. This game so easily creates feelings of wonder and nd adventure that many games chase so hard only to fall flat in the attempt.
